Wanda Syke glass votive altar candle from Flaming Idols. Wanda Sykes is a stand-up comedian, writer and actor. She has been nominated for fourteen Primetime Emmy Awards and won the 2001 American Comedy Award for Funniest Female Stand-Up Comic. She has also been honored for her activism on behalf of LGBTQ communities. Much of her standup is about her family, queer parenting and sociopolitical issues.
